Mining Industry NL supports the work of both the Canadian Mining Innovation Council (CMIC) and the Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI). In partnership with Mining Industry NL, the College of the North Atlantic’s Office of Applied Research and Innovation offers industry support through collaborations focused on innovation and solutions to real-world problems. These organizations help bridge the gap between industry needs and solutions. Some of the most critical factors for these organizations are innovative research that leads to better exploration techniques, extracting more value from a mine, health and safety for workers, a reduced environmental footprint, and advancing technologies that can lead to more efficient operations.
